Record Location Obituary Archive of the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association;;Simon Leichter, operator of a grocery store in South Providence for 50 years before retiring in 1941, died yesterday at Miriam Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Austria, a son of tlie late Israel and Rose Leichter, and had resided in this city for 62 years. He was a founder of Temple Beth Israel, a member of the R.I. Jewish Fraternal Association, the South Providence Hebrew Free Loan Association and the Zionist Organization. Besides his widow, Pauline (Sil- verman) Leichter, he leaves a son Jack Leichter, four daughters, Mrs. Mathew Robinson, Mrs. Morris Musler, Mrs. Abraham Silverman and Mrs. Peter Katzman, all of this city, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will take place tomorrow at 11 a .m. at the Max Sugarman Funeral Home, 458 Hope Street. Burial will be in Lincoln Park Cemetery.\"
