Born in Providence, he was a beloved son of the late Reuben and Anna (Kessler) Schonfield and had lived in West Warwick for 5 years, previously living in Providence. Burton attended the RI School of the Deaf. Dear brother of the late Harvey Schonfield and his wife, Marilyn. Cherished uncle of Dr. Robert Schonfield, Dr. Leah DeBitetto, William Schonfield, and the late Frances Young. He is also survived by his long term caregiver, Joseph A. Joel. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to your favorite charity. Shiva and funeral services will be private. Arrangements by SHALOM MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1100 New London Ave., Cranston.\"
