Obituary Archive of the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association;;Mrs. Elizabeth Lowenthal - Lowen, 95, of 141 Porter Street, widow of Joseph Lowenthal, died yesterday at her home after a short illness. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Sept. 30, 1856, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Sophie (Schalor) Cohen, and came to this city 32 years ago. She lived with a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Lesser, her only immediate survivor. She also leaves three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Max Sugarman Funeral Home at noon tomorrow, with burial in Beth-El Cemetery.\"
