Obituary Archive of the Rhode Island Jewish Historical Association;;Leo Logan, 73, real estate developer and an active figure in Jewish community affairs, died yesterday at his home, 95 Mount Avenue, after an illness of several months. Mr. Logan was a pioneer developer of neighborhood shopping centers, having been active in the promotion of such centers on Elmgrove Avenue, Hope Street and Rochambeau Avenue, and at Wayland Square. He conducted a real estate and insurance office at 49 Westminster Street. He had served as a director of the Jewish Community Center, the Jewish Home for the Aged, Miriam Hospital and the Jewish Family and Children\'s Service. He was a member of Temple Beth El and of B\'nai B\'rith. He was a member of the Providence Real Estate Board, the Providence Chamber of Commerce, and the Town Criers and of Narragansett Associates. Mr. Logan was born in Russia, Dec. 1, 1878, and came to this country in 1893. He had been a resident of Providence since 1895 and a real estate developer since 1900. He was married in 1917 to Sarah F. Bormstein of Providence, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert I. Logan of Chicago, two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Young and Mrs. Carol Barnes both of Providence, a sister, Mrs. Rose Goldstein of Providence, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Temple Beth El. Burial will be in Beth El Cemetery, Reservoir Avenue.\"
